Great skin doesn't happen only in the clinic — it's built at home with a consistent, effective skincare routine. At Le Pearl, we always tell our clients: in-clinic treatments deliver results, but a solid daily routine maintains and amplifies them. Here's how to build a clinic-grade routine at home.

Step 1: Cleanser

Start with a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser suited to your skin type. Avoid harsh soaps that strip the skin. For oily/acne-prone skin, use a salicylic acid cleanser. For dry or sensitive skin, opt for a cream or milk cleanser. Double cleanse in the evening to remove sunscreen and makeup.

Step 2: Toner or Essence

A hydrating toner prepares the skin to absorb subsequent products. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, or glycerin. Avoid alcohol-based toners that can dry and irritate the skin.

Step 3: Serum

This is where the heavy lifting happens. Choose serums based on your primary concern:

  • Anti-aging: Retinol (start with 0.25%, build up gradually)
  • Brightening: Vitamin C (10–20%, L-ascorbic acid)
  • Hydration: Hyaluronic acid
  • Acne: Niacinamide (10%) or salicylic acid (2%)

Step 4: Moisturiser

Every skin type needs a moisturiser — yes, even oily skin. It locks in hydration and strengthens the skin barrier. Choose a lightweight gel for oily skin, a rich cream for dry skin, or a barrier-repair formula for sensitised skin.

Step 5: SPF (Morning Only)

Non-negotiable. Apply SPF 30–50 broad-spectrum every morning, even on cloudy days. This single step prevents more aging than any serum or treatment. Reapply every 2 hours if you're outdoors.

Pro Tips from Our Specialists

  • Introduce new actives one at a time, 2 weeks apart
  • Don't mix retinol with vitamin C in the same routine — alternate AM/PM
  • Be patient — most actives take 6–12 weeks to show visible results
  • Consult your aesthetic practitioner before adding prescription-strength products
